Art for me is a series of small wars. Fighting for the willingness or drive to sit with the self and move the medium further towards who I would become, if i were to truly let my heart and inspiration move me.
Tragedy is in every doubt, and the call of the "fail-lure" is often too loud.
Do not stop the process, do not interfere and do not imitate.
It may just be that creation could be the answer to every question capable of crushing the soul!

Jiu Jitsu has been a passion of mine for the last 13 years and has honestly changed me.
These paintings hang proudly as the centerpiece of my coach's jiu-jitsu school.
Referenced from my own photography with the aim of presenting the art of jiu jitsu as I see it, they were done as a set and painted as one flowing idea working between the three paintings at once. taking approximately 200 hours to complete.
They are my first commissioned paintings.
This subject and style of painting will be something I focus on and continue to develop for years to come.
